ITINERARY:
Book Now Day 1 Fly to Kolkata

Day 2 Kolkata - Kaziranga
Met on arrival and transferred to the hotel to freshen up before our flight to Guwahati. On arrival in Guwahati we will stop near Ulubari Bazaar to try spotting Greater Adjutant Stork. Drive to Kaziranga (5-6 hours) and check into your lodge for three nights.

Day 3 Kaziranga
Early this morning we will go on elephant back to the central range of Kaziranga National Park to try and sight tigers. We will be in the eastern range in the afternoon to sight the one-horned Rhinoceros, wild water buffalo and the migratory waterfowls in the lake. With luck we can go all the way to Brahmaputra River to see the Gangetic Dolphin.

Day 4 Kaziranga
Early this morning we will move to Panbari Forest Reserve in search of rare Hoolock Gibbon (only ape in India), Hornbills, yellow-vented warbler and Redheaded Trogon. We will head to the western range in the afternoon where we probably get the best chance to see the Raptors.

Day 5 Kaziranga - Nameri
We will drive to Nameri National Park (85 kilometres; 2-hour drive) this morning for a full day bird-watching tour. Our accommodation for the night at Nameri is arranged in tented camps. Our sightings should include White-bellied Heron, White-winged Duck, Jerdon's Baza, Oriental Honey-Buzzard, Pallas' Lesser and Grey-headed Fish-Eagles, Rufous-bellied Eagle, Changeable Hawk-Eagle, Swamp Francolin, White-cheeked Partridge, Kalij Pheasant, Grey Peacock-Pheasant, Masked Finfoot (rare), Pale-capped and Pin-tailed Pigeons, Common Hawk-Cuckoo, Asian Emerald Cuckoo, Blue-eared Kingfisher, Blue-bearded Bee-eater, Wreathed and Great Hornbills, Spot-bellied Eagle-Owl, Brown and Tawny Fish-Owls, Streak-throated Woodpecker, Long-tailed Broadbill, White-throated Bulbul, Black-backed and Spotted Forktails, Large Scimitar-Babbler, Rufous- necked Laughingthrush, and Green Magpie.

Day 6 Nameri - Shillong
We will drive to Shillong (80 kilometres; 2-hour drive) this morning. Home to the Dark Rumped Swift and Mausynram - the wettest place on Earth- it also has some beautiful waterfalls and orchids to offer. Check into your hotel for two nights. After freshening up, we will head to the Shillong Peak in search of Tawny-breasted Wren Babbler and other Northeast Indian hills state species such as Crested Finchbill, Rustycapped Fulvetta and Striated Bulbul

Book NowDay 7 Shillong
This morning is scheduled for birding at Mawphlang, which should include Golden Babbler, Chestnut-crowned Laughingthrush, White-browed Shrike Babbler, Rufous-winged Fulvetta, Grey Sibia and Ashy Bush Robins among others. We will drive to Cherrapunjee (2-hour drive) to look for Dark-rumped Swift, an endemic species.

Day 8 Shillong - Guwahati - Dibrugarh
This morning we will drive to Guwahati (103 kilometres; 3-hour drive) to connect to our flight to Dibrugarh. Accommodation is booked for us for the night.

Day 9 Dibrugarh - Namdapha
Early morning we will drive to Namdapha National Park (5-hour drive) where we will base ourselves for five nights at a resthouse.

Day 10 Namdapha
Early in the morning we will explore the Gibbon's Land area and the adjoining Moti Jheel for Little Heron, Black Stork, Sand Lark, Striated Grassbird, Snowy Throated Babbler, Rufous-necked Laughingthrush, Pale Blue Flycatcher and Blyth's Kingfisher.

Day 11 Namdapha
We will trek to Hornbill Camp early this morning (8 kilometres; 4-hour trek). This area is good for Great Rufous-necked and Wreathed Hornbill. Other species include the Jerdon's Baza, Crested Goshawk, Rufous Bellied Eagle, White Tailed Eagle, White Cheeked Partridge, Kalij Pheasant, Pallas's Gull, Pompadour, Thick-billed and Pin-tailed Pigeons, Green and Mountain Imperial Pigeons, Green Billed Malkoha, Mountain and Collared Scops Owl, Speckled and White Browed Spiculets, Chestnut Headed Tesias, Rufous Gorgetted, Little Pied, Ultramarine, Snowy-browed, Sapphire, Hill Blue and Pygmy Blue Flycatchers, yellow Bellied, Broad-billed, Chestnut-headed, Grey Cheeked, Golden-spectacled and Blyth's Leaf Warbler. Overnight at the camp.

Day 12 Namdapha
We will trek to Haldibari early this morning. Overnight at the lodge at Deban

Day 13 Namdapha - Dibrugarh
We will drive to Dibrugarh later this morning. Accommodation is booked for us for the night.

Day 14 Dibrugarh - Kolkata
We will take a tour through the tea plantation before flying to Kolkata. On arrival in Kolkata, we will be met and transferred to our hotel for an overnight stay. We have a sightseeing tour of the city scheduled for the afternoon.

Day 15 Kolkata - Onward destination
This morning we will transfer to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport for our flight to onward destination.
