Garampani
Wildlife Sanctuary
Description:
The
Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary was a reserve forest as long back as 1952. This
tells us about the floral and faunal richness of the place. With an area of
6 sq. kms the entire sanctuary is situated within the Karbi Anglong
Autonomous Council area and is full of rare and endangered flora and
fauna.As the name suggests this area is famous for it's hot water springs.
Location: It is 25 kms from
Golaghat and 65 kms from Kaziranga National Park.
Wildlife:
Animals found here are Elephants, Leopards,Tigers, Deer, Golden
Langurs, Hoolok Gibbons in additon to a large variety of birds and reptiles.
