ITINERARY:
Day 1 Depart for GoaDay 2 Goa - Dandeli Wildlife
SanctuaryOn arrival in Goa, we will be met and transferred to
Dandeli (3 hours) for two nights. We will spend the afternoon birding around
our lodge.
Day 3 Dandeli Wildlife SanctuaryWe will
take a safari to the core area of the sanctuary in the morning and
afternoon.
Day 4 Dandeli - Backwoods CampWe will drive
to Backwoods Camp this morning where we will spend two nights. We will
explore locally in the afternoon. In the evening we will drive out in search
of Nightjars and some other crepuscular birds.
Day 5 BackwoodsToday
we will bird around the camp as also visit Molem Forest Reserve. We will
take a break for lunch and freshen up at the camp before resuming birding in
the afternoon.
Day 6 Backwoods - BagaWe will drive to
Baga this morning where we will spend two nights at our coastal hotel. We
will explore locally in the afternoon.
Day
7 BagaToday we will explore a little further afield, stopping first
at the excellent Carambolin Lake. After lunch, we will visit the picturesque
Portuguese town of Old Goa and/or bird in the surrounding Baga fields.
Day
8 Baga - Bangalore - Mysore We will drive to Dabolim to connect to
our flight to Bangalore. On arrival we will drive to Mysore (3 hours).
Enroute we will stop for birding at Kokare Bellur.
Day 9 Mysore
This morning we will drive to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary to
combine gentle boating with birding and crocodile watch. Afternoon we will
be birding at the Chamundi hills.
Day 10 Mysore - NagarholeWe
will start early this morning heading towards Nagarhole (3-hour drive). We
will check into our resorts for three nights. In the afternoon, we will take
our first safari to the core area of the park.
Day 11-12
Nagarhole National ParkWe will take our morning and evening safaris
to the core area of the park.
Day 13 Nagarhole - Bangalore -
GoaThis morning we will drive to Bangalore (3 hours) to connect to
our flight to Goa. On arrival we will check-in to our hotel for over night
stay.
Day 14 Goa - Onward DestinationWe will transfer
to the international airport for our return flight.
